Droplets upon our faces
Screams;
Loud, unheard voices
Whispers;
Little nothings thrown into the wind
Smiles;
One fakes these
Laughs;
A different sound for each of us
Knives;
To cut away the pain on our skin
Pills;
A way to escape this reality of our world
Eyes;
Dark and dull, observing, watching, glaring
Ears;
They hear the insults, the screams, the voices
Mouths;
They talk, they whisper, they scream
Hearts;
They’re broken throughout the day

Raining endlessly, the usual bipolar weather of New England. Cold & drabby, yet a constant reminder of how she feels on a regular basis. Allows her to empathize with at least something, but ironically rain has no vitalities, schedules, appointments, nothing. Mere droplets, all without knowledge, lacking a single breath of life, just free falling, rhythmically dancing with not a even a slight reason or for any purpose. It’s all just there, forced to fall by the weathering ways of Earth’s atmosphere, its recycling. I’ve set my date. It’s tomorrow.
I’ve set it so many times before. I keep putting it off. Dragging my feet. But life isn’t looking like sparkles anytime soon. Well, not life in general. Just me. Life could be sparkles. I don’t think I can see it again though. I’ve lost the art of experiencing joy. There’s no point not living; existing and living are two different things, and I can’t bear the former. Can’t walk the edge of the knife forever. Have to choose a side at some point.

A soft rain falls over my mind
The water gently caressing my thoughts
Small humble droplets, each inclined
To soothe my fears
And hide my tears
To ingeniously disguise my faults
To me the inner shower gives
Not destroying hope or false happiness
But just the sustenance to live
Barely scraping
Barely making
The minimum barely providing this
The friendly wind blows steadily
The rain oppresses my mind’s parasites
Wind and rain combined heavenly
Offer solace
Shaky embrace
Unable to set my dead heart alight
Anesthetic does not heal the gun wound
