SapphireCyanide,
I love your songs. I love your voice.
You’ve got the rhythm too.
And you’ve got the passion and soul.
I listened to it all, 30 of them.
The best I love hearing is “I don’t believe you”, and “Singin X & Y”, and “Mama Who Bore Me”.
And thank you for your sharing.
As a gratitude of pay-back, I’ll tell you what I know.
Hoping that my pointing of direction can lead you further up your stairs.
What you’re lacking in singing is the technique of the breath of air.
The soft sound required during some passages is too weak in voice, and also at some endings of lyrics.
If you can master the breathing technique of abdomen breathing (not only literally the lungs to store air, but by compressing the abdomen area to bulge under the belly button while breathing in thus clearing more moving area for the lungs so that air can go fully into the lower tips of the lungs to expand. This in turn as if giving you larger lungs capacity than normal people who aren’t using at the tips, also that bulging up abdomen with pressure acts as a control by slowly and steadily compressing (recessing in) and transporting the air during singing and even can provide sudden burst of tremendous power if under demand.)
Then you’ll soon be equivalent to a professional singer, like Celine Dion.
A few professionals can even trickle the air out just with one breath, non-stop to a few minutes.
If further to what Celine cannot do, is the technique of power of voice with mellowness and to attain the prospect of breathtaking effect.
Celine tends to use nasal passage as echo chamber which is a terrible effect of most Italian Opera singers perform, who use the back of the tongue to block sound travelling back to the lungs and solely open the palette’s passage to the nose, where there’s only a limited echoing chamber and a straining-the-nerve kind if under tremendous air rushing in.
The echo is actually should be and best to ring mainly in the lungs, near the end of middle of rib-cage should be bulged out too.
Enlarging the echo chamber as much as possible is the main point.
Then the sound you utter will not be just around you, but radiating out in a breathtaking effect.
Remember that it’s not your mouth that sings, but your concentration on the bulging force near the end of middle of rib-cage where it plays the greatest part in sound echoing in lungs. In other words, your body sings.
Your present voice only travels down to where the location of your pendant on your neck is.
When your voice composing your rhythm, passion and soul all can be transported out with the techniques I mentioned, you’ll hear the prancing self of yours in your song.
The best example is the “Bad Romance”, it will be like the power and surging as if a prancing horse in play.
Hope you don’t mind me boldly stating things out, as I wish your sweet voice can be farther ahead the lane you want, so I can enjoy more potential fidelity in sound coming from you.
May be the reason that ears are more adjacent to the brain, the sensory part of perception, I feel more enjoyable in good sound’s reception than eyes can bring.
About the pain of your throat :
American Ginseng___treat lack of air (the oxygen molecules that a body needs), and they have in package of teabags style too. And not all of them are good, because some are cultivated from polluted underground water.
Honey___can moist the body’s dryness.
Or you may find some that American Ginseng with honey or with Chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum can treat lung and throat infection too.) (all those mentioned not to be consumed during diarrhoea)
Or Chinese herbs for chronic infection of throat :
çŽ„åƒ 3 grams, 麥冬 3 grams, 胖大海 2 units (1 day potion, put it in water to boil, then simmer 20-30 minutes, drink the fluid only.)
The respective sounds of them are “yuen’sum”, “mug’duong”, “buentai’hoi” (and 1 to 2 days dosage may cure you too.)
(also not suitable during diarrhoea)
The best, of course is to have a Chinese doctor that can read pulses on the wrists. Because there is no best formula for all.
