my psychologist told me that one day i’m going to run out of films and music to connect to rather than people. they are the only things that i can relate to. the words of a song or a character in a film. anyway, the cure just makes me feel like although i feel alone others feel it with me. robert smith is a genius. just dont let the music make you feel worse. pornography and disintegration, arguably the most depressing of their stuff, are my favourite albums. it just sucks because i’m a teenager and missed the days when i could see my favourite bands live.

You can never run out of films and music. I recommend the film “Stay”. really weird but awesome and deals with suicide.
I’ve never been to a live concert before…
There is nothing wrong with connecting to films and music, because you are connecting to the people behind the art. The difference with characters in films and real people, is usually that characters are more deep and intense. Some real people also have that depth, but generally have to hide it in everyday life, because it’s not really socially acceptable. Those deep, thoughtful, wonderful people do exist, you just have to seek them out, and you have to put in the time to get to know them, before they open up.
I saw the cure live in like 2007? It was a bit overrated… but then, I lost interest in the cure after the 80s, it was all downhill… can’t really top Lullaby…
Hey molchanics; Faith and 17 seconds are both in my all time top 20. I saw the Cure live twice during the Head on the Door tour in the late 80’s. (San Diego & Irvine, CA) Robert Smith is a fucking genius, yes. Kids today just don’t get it for whatever reason.
But yeah……Robert Smith is now fat and pushing 50……the music still holds up though (for me at least)….
