I am way ahead of you, when it comes to a Utopia for the family (The Suicidee Project family)
Things I would change
1 – That everyone was kind to one another
2 – That all the money spent on weapons, bombs, muntions were insead spent on feeding, clothing and sheltering the poor and needy of the world.
+ Egalitarianism
– Xenophobia (Racialism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, eleteism et ceterea)
+ Kindness and benovolance
– Hate, fear, greed and war
+ Renewable energy
– Government corruption
+ Self-Education
– Religion
+ Automated work
– Wage slavery
+ Post-scarcity economy
– Money
+ Everything is free and provied by the State
– Capitalism
+ Pure Socialism/Communism
– Nations
+ World Government
I’ve compiled the lists, added more info where needed, and left question marks for other SP family members to fill in the blanks. Let’s get this going; action for reaction!
+ Automated work (?)
+ Egalitarianism
+ eviromentalism
+ fix the media so people arent so critical of themselves
+ Kindness and benovolance
+ Libertarian
+ money spent on feeding, clothing and sheltering the poor and needy of the world
+ Post-scarcity economy (?)
+ Pure Socialism/Communism (eventually)
* Everything is free and provided by the State (to a point: housing, food, school, healthcare; see)
+ Renewable energy
+ Self-Education (?)
+ World Government (small and completely transparent)
– Capitalism
– Government corruption
– Hate, fear, greed and war
– Money (eventually; one of the last things that’ll go. The seperation anxiety will be hard to deal with for the general public)
– money spent on weapons, bombs, muntions were insead
– Nations (eliminate the various citizenship cards and passes for one world pass)
– Religion (true speration of church and state; kick religions out of government, schools, hospitals. True secular paradise)
– senseless pain and suffering
– Wage slavery
– Xenophobia (Racialism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, eleteism et ceterea)
Automated work is work done my machine
Self-Educaion is were you educate yourself
Post-Scarcity Econemy is that wich does not rely on scarcity, id est, rescourse based economy.
Oh and for the record if all jobs were automated, and everything was provided for by the State then there would be no need for money, money would dissolve in to nothing.
O and I would like to add one more thing to the list.
– Government (The last thing to go, tied in with Pure Communism/Socialism)
interesting, a war against toiling. If machines did everything, the nature of education would have to change. We’d still need to know everything they teach in Elementary school up to high school, but post secondary education would change drastically as the idea of careers will be eliminated. I think school should still be mandated and even enforced a lot more than it is today. If you give people the choice, a lot won’t want to learn, and ignorance is the root of a fair amount of the evils of the world.. I’m adding(subtracting) ignorance to the list.
On the subject of money, I just realized machines won’t be able to do all of the work. There’s the entertainment industry, with certain sectors(music, movies) that are heavily reliant on people power. I’m sure there are other industries that couldn’t be completely converted to MA(mechanical automation) either. These people will want some sort of compensation. And there will always be those that will want more and will be willing to work for it. We can’t eliminate desire unless we start spiking the water supply. I’ve always fancied the idea of electronic credits, the kind used in sci fi all the time.
+ Automated work (done by machine; eliminate work/toil)
+ Egalitarianism
+ Everything is free and provided by the State (to a point: housing, food, school, healthcare, tied in with Pure Communism/Socialism)
+ eviromentalism
+ fix the media so people arent so critical of themselves
+ Kindness and benovolance
+ Libertarian
+ money spent on feeding, clothing and sheltering the poor and needy of the world
+ Post-scarcity economy (does not rely on scarcity ie. resource based economy)
+ Pure Socialism/Communism
+ Renewable energy
+ Self-Education (educate yourself)
+ World Government (small and completely transparent)
– Capitalism
– Government (The last thing to go, tied in with Pure Communism/Socialism)

2 things aren’t enough on the many things I find horribly wrong with soviet and this world today.. Because its not nature that is wrong with this world. It us, human beings. We invented war, money, drug and sex trade, waste, genocide, famine. The only way we can change that is to stop humans from existing. That’s the only way, we are selfish and we have too much power. Nature can do without us but humans can’t live without nature. Utopia? I think the last utopia was the one that existed before the cavemen or before God created man on the 6th day. Whatever you Belive in, evolution or religious, which is responsible for deaths on both sides. We are the source of the problem. We are the cancer. It’s simple. The only utopia is the one without humans.

I could go on, but hopefully you get the gist.

2. fix the media so people arent so critical of themselves

I don’t believe in utopia. The very word implies it is unattainable. Why can’t we just take what we have and make it better?
