Is there no way you can get out? Go to a friend or family members house get away from your ‘man’ any way you can – please call your local domestic violence crisis center – mental abuse is STILL abuse

actually, he fact that you don’t own anything works in your favor for getting out – of the house/relationship – here is nothing tying you there, nothing that you have to worry about “him’ damaging, destroying or “holding hostage” over you. just pack you personal affects and go. now the question is … where? Is there no shelter for battered and abused women in your town? Perhaps a salvation army? can you inquire at your church (or the local church)?

if you are unsure or don’t have something like that, then perhaps as a possible option for gaining information – try the suicide hotline phone number – you could tell them that you aren’t actively considering but you are feeling trapped and need to find the right resources to help you. i’ve got to think they’ll have that information handy.

I’m sorry your mental health service put you off like that – they probably felt your situation was … well … more situational, rather than mental. i;m pretty settled on inert gas if/when the time/need should arise
