Hi,
For use with a balloon time helium tank as found in (e.g.) Asda, where can I source an appropriate flow regulator in the UK? I don’t want to pay for one from Exit and also have to wait weeks for it to arrive. Is there a specific and suitable regulator that can be bought somewhere in the UK?
Then, the tubing. What is the required size / type / connection and where can I buy it in the UK?
Many thanks.

Share your story, we’re here to listen and we understand. Read the top of the site and you’ll find that we won’t answer that. If you have nothing to lose, there’s no reason not to share!
Hey Fernando,
I’m in pretty much the same situation. Well, i’m less worries about the money and the time but don’t wanna get the helium flow control kit because of its requirement for a phone number. Maybe this is stupid but not only do i prefer anonymity but would rather not answer phonecalls explaining how though i am under 60 and not terminally ill would still like to purchase their products.
But i do too live in the UK and have access to the balloon time helium tanks. Do let me know if you find any answers to these problems. As always i would be happy to share thoughts and concerns; though ye it seems this site isn’t for designed for discussing these kinds of technicalities.
Cheers,

Okay, I’m in Canada, but I think it should be the same. Firstly, look into ******** vrs helium.
Secondly, consider shopping at a welding supply place.
You want a regulator for ‘sheilding gas’. The ******** used in plastic welding. Not sure if the fittings are compatible with helium tanks.
Secondly, the regulator should be set at about 15 liters/minute.
I dont judge..I just share knowledge that I know.
if you are geting welding supplies/tanks – all fittings should be standard because tanks are generic and can be filled with whichever gas is preferred/required
the issue is when you are dealing with non-standard tanks like those for party balloons which are no industrial quality so they don’t use the same fittings nor are they meant to be refillable
just saying – from what I recall from having some welding exposure
industrial dawg
Fuck!
I only have access to Balloon time.
Questions:
If I purchase the balloon time kit that has helium for fifty balloons, is that enough for a success?
Also, where do I get a valve for this? I’m not over fifty so exit is no option, I live in Australia too.
Is there any way possible to do this without a flow reg?
[I wanted to go this week. Looks like that isn’t happening]
Bye!
You dont really check your emails much, do you winterrose.
Footsteps, I am having the same problem as Winterrose, only I live in Canada. Could you please help me set up the proper hardware with party time tanks? Thanks!
