If it comforts you to have a blade on hand, it’s okay. Find a way to work with yourself. Cutting is not bad, but it’s the reasons you’re doing it…what is the core issue that makes you want to do that?
It’s my feeling that anyone who cuts is internalizing & taking all their anger & frustration & directing towards themselves because they feel guilty about something that is not their fault at all.
Not sure if you were abused..physically or emotionally. Know that it is important to not continue the abuse you received by continuing to act it out on yourself. Whoever did that to you…that was all about them…they just passed on their own shame, & is not a reflection of your splendor. When you make that shift, & have that realization you may choose to act out your anger on a pillow or punching bag…chop wood. Put your aggression/rage into something but not by harming you. You’re too good for that…truly. Good luck! John Bradshaw “Homecoming” on youtube, check out all the clips. He tells the truth-& it will help you.
