First of all the problem may not be lack of reason but rather an inability to sense the ones that are there. Reasons may be dancing naked in front of you but if you’re really depressed then you just can’t see them. So knowing nothing about your condition (I am kind of new here) let me suggest that instead of playing by depression’s rules (which say “you look for reasons to live and depression gets to cover up your eyes”) turn the tables on the ************ and do what you can to get rid of the depression. IF that works (knock wood) you’ll quickly see that reasons to live were always there all around you.
So how to treat the depression? Best resource I’ve see is the book the Depression Cure. It reviews the relevant literature on depression and says what seems to work. (Un)Surprisingly enough, it concludes that anti-depressants really do a shitty job in most cases. What seems to work is exercise, fish oil (vastly cheaper than anti-depressants especially if you don’t have insurance), light therapy, and learning how to spot and deal with ruminating. Well, sleep also (and if you can’t get enough of that the light therapy can help there as well). These things have worker about as well for me as all the drugs (lots of ’em) I’ve taken to try to get better and I’m just in the early days of trying this way.
If you have tried beating the depression rather than playing it’s game and nothing works and you’ve been trying for years, well, sorry to hear it. Really sorry. And I’m pretty much right there with you.

i know what you’re saying… i think about it everyday and i never can find a reason to live… but then i don’t have the guts to do anything…
