this is the dictionary definition of incorrigible. most of the time depression and all the other probelms associated with it  feels like this and i know it does… i have to deal with it every single day and most of the time nothing changes it… i hate things that are incorrigble… yet everything in my life is. so therefore i hate my life and everything in it… its terrible not having anything you want to live for… and yet get up and wade through the crap day by day… hating my life even more… i don’t see why i should put up with it and feel so much pain anymore…

no no thats not true. You see your depression is a chemical imbalance or its stemmed from prior issues developed as a child. You can fix it with medication and talking about your problems. Theres also therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy which can help change your state of mind. The problems in life can and will pass…you just have to ride the wave and build a shelter for the next one…idk…im being a hypocrite since im losing it all lately and plan to off myself soon considering new developments
We’re here to try and correct the incorrectable Katiebear! You’re in the right place…
I get where you’re coming from, and have had those self-same feelings myself many times. There are times in our lives where all we’re really called upon to do is survive, because that’s all we CAN reasonably do. I’m sorry you’re going through one of those atm.
I can’t fault your logiic about ‘hating your life and everything in it’. That’s what depression does.
When – OK IF, if you prefer, you come out of it, you’ll ‘remember’ that there IS actually stuff we can do to improve our lives and make them more livable. In the meantime, find comfort where you can, since you won’t actually enjoy anything much. I mean, has food lost its savour to you? Is sleep not a blessed release for a few precious hours? How about cups of coffee or tea? Or a healthy alternative, lol!
Focusing for a minute on those things we do still ‘enjoy’ can help sometimes.
