I hate how people joke about dying or someone killing themselves… it is not funny and is in no way something to joke about… those jokes are all i hear anymore and it makes me mad that they think of it as a joke ugggh i hate people….
I wrote a whole post on that- not sure if I deleted it or not but I hate how people in my class say things like “Ugh fine i’ll just go kill myself now” JOKINGLY. Little did they know someone in that very room WANTS to actually kill herself- and they just joke around with the topic of suicide. So disrespectful and rude. This is why I don’t talk to anyone at school 😉
Don’t sweat it. The masses of people who make up our society lack empathy for the most part. It makes them come across as cruel and unappreciative, but there’s another way to look at it.
While they may be oblivious to the damage it’s doing to you, they will also live their life oblivious to things they could’ve found rewarding and gratifying, had they been as “in touch” with their feelings as you are. You will live a much “richer” life than most of them, even though at times, some of that heart-felt empathy you possess may cause you pain. It’s a gift and a curse.
