i went to a job interview recently and they asked me to describe myself. i didnt wanna say the cliche so i went in there telling myself to be honest and nothing but.
i choked up at the question cause i had nothing to say. i really dont know who i am. i dont know how to describe myself beside the physical that they can already see. i have no real personality. i dont enjoy doing anything. i dont have any special skills. i’m rice and water. salt & pepper is too exciting
oh, and by the way, i bombed the interview. no job for me

I would have asked them to describe themselves to me so I knew if I wanted to work with them…lol. We get trained into being conditioned by how society has things set up. I’d go easy on you. That’s a pretty personal question actually…think about it. If you went up to someone on the street & asked them that, they’d tell you where to go.
The thing is anyone could say anything…they could tell you their sign, their sexual pref, their beliefs, …it’s a mixed bag. Anyone could have felt the same as you. Again, you’re all good. I believe the job should fit you, not the other way around. Take care.
that same thing happened to me last year…
i made stuff up. i claimed i was a superhero who every night travels back in time and saves the world from disaster, so that every morning in the here and now, the sun still rises. i told him that i fought evil dinosaurs, mad scientists, and alien invaders each night as the people in the present slept, so if i was a bit tired in the morning when i showed up for my shift, he’d know why.
it got the guy to laugh a bit, but still, no job from it either.
we all eventually become who we pretend to be. so pretend to be someone that you can live with.
just don’t pretend to be an evil dinosaur, or we’ll have to do battle one night sometime in the past.
I read you other post (“I hate”). I was worried because I thought you were’nt coming back. I guess I’m glad that your’re still around. I enjoy reading your posts.
I always use the cliche stuff. If I were honest, they probably wouldn’t hire me. And you don’t seem like “rice and water” to me. Better luck next time.
You mean people actually try to answer those questions truthfully? I just say i’m a good christian lad who takes care of his two younger sibblings while his mom is sick in bed, and i’m trying to find work to go to college and be a fire fighter or something.
