Just thinking…

I guess you could consider this a rant, but I don’t go off emotionally sometimes and it sometimes isn’t one-sided. I dunno, this is the first I have ever posted my thoughts on the web (Or said them aloud to anyone) so I’m not too sure what people think.

The word love… The meaning of it has become so lost to me. Like if I hear or see it anywhere, it’s just a word that makes the sentence four letters longer or lengthens a conversation of sorts by a mere second (depending on how long you say it of course) This ‘word’ can’t really be used as a word. Love seems to work more like an action, but it would be implied so there would be no need to even say it or mention it. If you ‘love’ someone, you would show it! Not say it a million times to this someone and thats it. Granted doing both of these things can help in certain situations but just showing love works more effectively than showing AND saying it.

Now if this someone demand you say this word to them, well that’s a different story… Demanding to hear this word isn’t bad, its just that hearing it is sufficient enough for you and you don’t really need to be shown love. The way I see it though is that if you don’t need to be shown love, then that’s how you would treat the other person who ‘loves’ you. It’s kinda like that phrase “treat me how I treat you” sort of thing. I know this isn’t how you would live life, but let’s face it… We are human and we treat people how we were treated and vice-versa. No matter what this is how most people work no matter how much we tell them that the “golden rule” is a bad way to live and that it just makes you selfish.

Anyways… yes the word ‘love’ has lost it’s meaning to me. I don’t want to hear it, cause it means nothing. Showing love is the best, and it’s even better when you don’t have to say it.
