Sometimes people mistake a little known condition for anxiety attacks, although it does have similarities to true anxiety attacks and since you indicate it’s more of a night thing I tend to think you may suffer the same as I.
However there is hope for relief.
firstly I’m gonna blah blah you about taking drinks and foods that are stimulants this being said let’s move on.
There are times I feel im going nuts and this can last hours or days especially since sleep depervation adds too the fire.
My symptoms;
I’m tired so I lay down then it starts,
My head starts racing (I call it this), just random things going thru my head to the point my head feels like it could burn out.
My heart starts thumping to the point you can feel my veins thumping.
My extremities want to run move or flail about.
Leaving you unable to sleep, do a Google search with heart thumping at night to see condition.
A way to relieve it is this is try sleeping sitting up in a recliner use pillows to prop yourself up, you can recline it but not totally reclined.
option 2. Buy a beanbag and take out half of the stuffing so it will elevate you.
If you have a spouse it really helps if they rub your head esp if you have a short near bald head freshly cut it really relaxes you and puts me to sleep.
Option 3. (Check with you’re doctor first) Niquil cough syrup, this stuff puts me out in an hour while slightly elevated.
foods keep a diary of foods you eat and look for a pattern on the frequency of attacks do you eat meat alot lower it, look into juicing vegetables (watch fat, sick, and nearly dead)(not implying anything). But foods have a big impact on our mental Wellness people just are not told this.
If nothing I else I suggest you seek out a sleep study trial they can be found by Googling it.
