For me it’s my favourite way to die.
I’ve got a rope for a few years. But it’s very short. I know it’s strong enough to hold me. But what kind of rope do I need exactly?
I know how to knot a hangman’s knot.
But how strong the bough needs to be?
Is a chair enough height to get a broken neck?

You dont need a broken neck you get unconscious in suspension hanging very very fast also… rope its best to have a 8 mm rope polypropylen…:)
I plan on a slip knot with Vaseline on the rope. And, yeah, not looking to break my neck because I could survive and well, a wheel chair for me would be worse than death.
Hangmans knot is for judicial professionals only.
There is a whole bunch of other technical stuff to consider when using this, otherwise things will end up whole lot worse.
for me hanging is all so my favourite way to die but don,t know a lot about hanging but love to die that way hope to die by hanging soon
hanging is gentle and realiable, a last nice feeling before death 🙂
I’ve researched this method and apparently when people have been found they often have scratch marks around their necks and skin under their nails – suggesting that they were trying to get the rope off. So I’m not so sure about it being a gentle method.
Traditional lynchings rely on neck snapping if you hang there long enough you’ll block the blood to your brain and die anyways so no worries.
