Aren’t all lemons sour? Wouldn’t saying “sour lemons” be similar to saying “wet water” or “hot fire?”
I had a thought pop into my mind when i read your username and post: “wishes are like dead dreams… nothing but disembodied intention, pure energy hemorrhaging into the void, leaving the self through a mortal wound… that serves no purpose but to “vent” the pressure that builds from losing, or never having had, the ability to actually accomplish those things wished for.”
I also can’t help but think of this, every time i see mention of “wishing”: “wish in one hand, shit in the other, tell me which fills up first.”
History is written, it is exactly that: history. You can’t go back, and you can’t change the past, and maybe you can’t get to where you would have liked to go, from where you were then, from where you are now… and even if it’s too late to reach where you feel you should have gone, it’s never too late to turn around, and spend the time that’s left on getting as close as you can.
Wishes worth wishing are worth trying to manifest through action. You can’t change yesterday, but maybe you can spend today figuring out what to change about tomorrow. Whatever you can do, do all you can do, and start today, so that tomorrow you’ll be on your way, instead of wishing you had started yesterday.
Lemons aren’t sour – they’re tart. Sucking on their meaty pulp can be quite enjoyable. With a little sugar, after you squeeze the juice out you can create lemonade. You can even set up a stand and sell this refreshing elixir to passersby.
Lemons are allright.
