Frequently used by people who give a shit about me, but want to pretend they don’t.
This phrase is quite good for deepening the self-delusion and inner lying.
It says, if we don’t talk about the problems there aren’t any.
It’s the same as “forgive”. Puts the responsibility on the victim.
@Dolores
Helping someone takes time, empathy, attention, and a lot of hard things.
Pretending the help takes only some banal truisms which are very easy to say (like “move on” or “get over it”).
There are several people who don’t want to sacrifice time and effort on you. But they’d like to be the good guy. Oh, it’s so nice… so they tell you some empty phrases which helps nothing…
This kind of people always deny problems, pain, difficulties, and if you admit you have problems you can’t solve (which is the natural condition of human being), they blame it on you.
This attitude deepens inner lying and self-delusion because it denies the difficult sides of life, and instead of searching a proper solution, it denies the problem itself.
This mechanism works just like kitsch. When some “artist” want to create something worthy without putting the effort, the time and the thought which is needed. The only goal of this kind of people is to quickly make something nice-looking, so they can show themselves off like cheap prostitutes without providing any real value.

What do you mean when you say people who “give a shit about me, but want to pretend they don’t” and how does it deepen self-delusion and inner lying?
I agree with hella….Its kind of a nice way of saying “get over it”
It’s like people are trying to tell you to forget that you are a creature with emotions and feelings.
it depends on your condition. but the word is descriptive it self.on my condition it means die.

“It’s like people are trying to tell you to forget that you are a creature with emotions and feelings.”
It’s exactly what I tried to explain.
