A fortune cookie can be a very corny source for advise. But it can be slightly entertaining and uplifting if the right message finds it’s mark in one’s own consciousness.
So let me crack open a fortune cookie for you all!
*crack*
This one says.. “You are going to have a very comfortable life”
……Seriously? lol
Ok so they aren’t always on the money, but maybe some of you out there have use for this one…who knows! 😉
May your fortunes hold strong!

Hmm… maybe it’s not as funny if you haven’t seen the earlier ones. I found it rather hilarious.
Check out the one with the psychic.
Ok
Fucking lols. Haha.
I swear to God and on my mother’s grave I’ve gotten one that said “Don’t eat this fortune” (Being the rebellious teenager that I was, I actually did eat the slip of paper, an act that I now blame for my present misery and misfortune)
@clevername- ok that was funny!!
@noonoo- lol
@SB- sounds tragic!
I know there have been a couple cookie-fortunes that i’ve ended up keeping stashed away somewhere… but i can’t remember what they were, now. And it wasn’t anything like “you will be rich” or “you will find love.” It was something that i found profound and wise, that, at the time, i figured i would want to remember. At some point, my life circumstances made irrelevant whatever those cookie-fortunes had said. At some point, i realized i needed to rely on my own wisdom, rather than needing fortune cookies to tell me what to do, or give me some sort of irrational hope, or just make me feel warm and fuzzy.
So i suppose my most fitting cookie-fortune would say something like: “Stop reading fortune cookies; start making them.” Or: “He who makes his own cookies, makes his own fortunes.”

O-O NO SPAM PLEASE
Fortune cookies can be compared to the magic 8 ball that you ask a question then shake and see what you get. I think they are both bullshit. Especially the “lucky numbers” in fortune cookies. It’s no coincidence that they give you the same amount of 2 digit numbers that you have to give when playing the lottery. The magic 8 ball is also a bunch of bullshit. Ask the same question 5 times and you will get 5 different answers. I think anything that tries to direct or blindly predict your life is bullshit. Horoscopes, Magic 8 ball, fortune tellers, and fortune cookies and anything else like them….all bullshit.
I’ve been very tempted to go to a fortune teller, but seeking out one that isn’t a scam artist would be the problem..and I’m not willing to give up my money to one.
When I was a kid I always wanted to believe in fortune cookies and the magic 8 ball.
But now I create my own fortune and future!
Fortune tellers are like mediums….They ask you some questions….grasp for straws and then claim to have some insight about something when really they are pulling shit out their asshole. I always wanted to go to one and intentionally lie about a dead relative to see what they say. Fortune tellers can’t predict the future because we have free will. If they tell me…”I see you going to the left when you leave this place” and I go right when I leave that means she was full of bullshit. ….and they are loaded with bullshit.
Have you ever seen a psychic business that never seemed to go out of business? Like..they were in that location your whole life or atleast for years. I’ve seen a few of those and I always wonder how they stay in business.
Con artist are good at keeping the con going. I’ve never seen one or been to a shop but I think they are just good at selling their bullshit like a used car salesman. Many of them probably have a few good tricks that make it seem like they are actually “predicting” your future…. I don’t know if you ever seen her but there used to be a commercial with “Miss Cleo” a Jamaican fortune teller….and she used to have people call in and use cards to “see” their future. There are clips of them on YT. I mean the bullshit is just obvious I don’t see how people buy into it but they did.
