So I’m very stunned at how stupid some people can be.
I was on another forum (one for bipolarity), when a pleasantly ignorant person decided to join the conversation. What was his solution for curing bipolarity?
Veganism
He was serious, too. He seemed to believe that through “nature” and “veganism”, we can all live happier lives.
Most ironic part about this? I’ve been vegan for two years, and guess what, I’m still bipolar.

I’d give it more time.
I do believe there is a link between the modern diet and things such as cancer, diabetes, and yes possibly mental illness.
I read this article yesterday about a woman who is 72 (I think) but she looks more like 32. She says her secret to youth is only eating uncooked veggies and grains.
My own experience with veganism has proven to produce outstanding results in my health and my over all mental state. I was able to think 10 times more clearer than I could when I was on my regular diet. Keeping in mind that my mind and body are already well developed.
I’m not saying I know 100% what that person was getting at but I do know enough to say I wouldn’t write it off just yet! 😉
In a world where anything is possible, this seems more realistic than anything else right now.
If my job wasnt so physically demanding I’d switch back to vegan just to improve my health and mental state again. But I’ve been trying on and off for years and I exert too much energy to sustain that kind of diet. I’d just wither away.
I understand completely that a healthy diet ties in with “curable” mental problems like depression or possibly insomnia.
However, bipolarity is a genetic disorder. It’s a chemical imbalance in your brain. You can’t get rid of it with anything but medication.
I’m not trying to be rude, we’re all entitled to our opinions, but I get irritated when people don’t seem to understand that the bipolar disorder and something like depression are not at all the same.
