Is bullying just natural, just nature’s way of weeding out what’s not normal? I’ve told you guys I’ve been bullied bad all my life because of my genetic abnormality. In other words, I’m ugly as sin, I’m weak as water, I got so much bullying even at church so I had to stop going.
Out in nature with animals if a creature is born so severely far off from what its supposed to be, it’s likely to be rejected. The mother might refuse to feed it, she might even kill it. It is very sad, but that’s how animals are hardwired. I just wonder if me being bullied all the time is nature’s way of recognizing it made a mistake and trying to get rid of me (trouble is I would need help to commit suicide and havent’ got any). I get so angry at the bullies but then I wonder if they might be right to cast me out because I am unworthy.

I’d like to think that humans are a little bit more civilized than their counterparts in the animal kingdom. Unfortunately, we don’t seem to be as advanced as we’d like to think we are.
I’ve read all of your posts and I wish there was something helpful I could write. All I can think of is “this too shall pass”. That’s a generic cliche, but knowing how impermanent this experience known as life is often helps me. Best wishes, Rach.
I think like this too.
What difference does it make if we are civilised? Many people still want to kill and bully others, especially where I live. They do it verbally, picking on minorities, and sometimes they attack others physically. I feel that people obey laws because they are simply afraid to disobey them. Everyone calls me a pessimist, but I think that I am just being realistic.
No I think bullying is just a way for the bullies to feel better about themselves.
They use it as a tool to boost their self-esteem by demeaning others.
They bully out of jealousy, shame, anxiety …

I completely agree.
I’ve often thought about this too Rach. It’s kind of like natural selection in a way. That if you’re an outcast, no one’s going to come out and murder you but in a way they do with their putdowns to the point where you can’t take it anymore. It’s hard to tell though because there are plenty of people who don’t fit in and are outcasts, but somehow, through self belief or something, are able to persevere and be known as unique. It’s a fine line whether you’re labeled unique (useful) or an outcast (useless). They’re similar but one sees differences in a positive light while the other sees them in a negative one. I think I understand what you mean and have often thought of it myself though.
This is a very important issue on this site and I agree with the comments above.
To systematically abuse a person considered too weak to defend themselves over a long period of time is evil.
No one is immune from suffering, they cry and bleed just like the rest of us and their time will come.

Duke, i logged in just now, specifically to give you high praise for stating this. I completely agree.
