What if once a year, the entire world agreed that suicide was acceptable? Once a year the governments of the world would give you what you need to safely and quickly end your life or even assist you in doing so. I can imagine it would be a pretty morbid society.
I think it would make a great movie idea though.

Kinda like “The Purge,” but different.
man I fucking wish…….I’d be there hours before they opened ready to sign any and every paper…..
It would be a good movie only if they put in the plot twist that the “day of suicide” was just a facade to get suicidal people all in one place so they could involuntarily commit them indefinitely and use them as guinea pigs for new anti depressants and other medicines
@PainNlife:
lol.
That’s a GREAT twist!! lol nice thinking!
lol I just figured it what the government would most likely do anyway….just add another provision to the patriot act called “self terrorism” ….. if you are a “self terrorist” you give up the rights to use your body freely
It’s just the perfect twist if your expecting all the main characters to be expecting an end to their lives..but then all of a sudden the find themselves facing captivity! lol nice.
Now imagine a house where people go (kinda like a commune) where they live out their lives till they decide to die. I know places like that exist in the world. It’s a creepy feeling to know that they are out there.
If they do then they best remain discreet and avoid mainstream media attention
lol…
Dude, Pain, you need to write a terribly dark and sarcastic, satirical but realistic parody screenplay.
“Self terrorists” forfeiting their bodies to the government haha that would be hilarious if it weren’t so close to happening…
Actually you guys should check out the old movie Soylent Green. In the future there are suicide clinics where people can end their lives safely & peacefully. Of course things get a little creepy after that but I won’t ruin it.
@clevername I would only be good at thinking of vague story plots….. I would need real writers to iron out all the little intricate details that keep the story flowing….
@COM I’ll check it out…..is it one of those B&W films? I usually can’t watch those unless they are REALLY interesting because they tend to put me to sleep
