Paul Walker has died in “a fiery car crash” the news says. This is pretty ironic because he starred in a movie Fast and furious about racing cars.
It reminds me of when Steve Irwin “the crocodile hunter” died. Steve Irwin died by a stingray barb when he was scuba diving.
Jimi Heselden owner of Segwey died in a Segwey accident.
What do these ironic deaths mean (if anything) or what lesson might be learnt from them?

Mmm… people think they’re invincible?
Anyone can die in a fiery car crash, not just people who’ve starred in illegal racing films.
Anyone who plays with wild animals on a regular basis could die via wild animal.
Things can go wrong even for the pros, who know what they’re doing.
Ryan Dunn would be a suitable addition to your short list. He was one of the original “Jackass” members; died from driving a sports car beyond his capabilities to control it, in unfavorable conditions, ie: “being a jackass.”
It’s up to the individual as to what it could mean, if anything. If you try and say what it could mean then it will provoke and engage in debate and argument among people of different perspectives and people with egos attached to what they think might even try to be the “be all, end all” of how one should perceive it. It can get like that, it proves itself time and time again, especially on the internet.
too bad:(,i was watching the sequel yesterday.:(
I think clevername’s got it that most people think they’re invincible, until they have some sort of event in their lives that confronts them to their mortality.
Paul Walker died?!?! He was actually really hot. Fuck. Wow. This is fucking sad news. Yeah, I never met this guy, but it’s still sad. Now I can’t ever meet him. (I’ve met celebrities before. I just like them if I find them attractive and appreciate their personalities onscreen.) Well, requiescat in pace. (Can an atheist get away with saying that?) I’m sorry for his teenage daughter, too.
Well I can only relate or comment on Steve Irwin. He died by doing the thing that he loved most. Yes he was a bit of a dare devil. But was that his personality? Or was that what the media wanted?
In conclusion he died doing what he loved. No regrets. He had a big life, a good life.
The death was ironic but thats it. I mean people like to think it was some mysterious event but as Clever said those things can happen to anybody…I think the only thing we can learn is that whether its by suicide, accident or natural causes….death leaves no stone unturned
@ Iclazion I agree. Steve Irwin would not have been Steve Irwin if he hadn’t been out there in nature among the wild things. He was never meant for a desk job or a normal life. He must have known he’d die doing that, and accepted it.
It appears that Paul Walkers death may have been due to speeding and attempted racing with another vehicle. Perhaps all the car racing in the movies gave him a false sense of security.
What it means to me is that we can be gone in an instant, any of us. Steve hardly had time to even register that he was injured before he died. You know that song dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind. Like dust we blow away just as suddenly as we were born.
