Got rejected by Stanford University, does my remaining life worth living?
Don’t I have a choice, instead of spending a precious human life on earth as a mediocre?
Without self convincing myself  ” not all great people are from Stanford University”

If you think Stanford is that great, you really are delusional.
Stanford is a very good school, but most great people do not come from Stanford. Undergraduate isn’t super important anyway.
let me please point out that your concern regarding college is very skewed.
are you really suicidal because of that? you think you are doomed to live a mediocre life just because of the school you go to? what about all the people that don’t go to college? are you better than them, if you make it into stanford? should they all pity themselves if you make it and they don’t? please consider that you are have a totally wrong view of achievement… college is one thing.
please, (anybody), send me an email and I can encourage you to live a strong life, not one so futile.

I agree, don’t put much emphasis on college… not in this day and age. Trust me, a rejection from a snooty school isn’t reason to give up.
I just looked up the statistics for freshmen transferring to Stanford University in 2013.
38,828 prospective students applied. 2,209 were admitted. That’s a 5.7% rate of admission.
Of the students who were accepted, 80% were in the top 10% of their high school class.
56% of incoming freshmen had a GPA of 4.0 or above. These students are the cream of the crop.
Stanford is considered “the Harvard of the West”. You have to be a top notch prospect to get in there. Not everyone can be an Olympic athlete. Not everyone can be a rock star or a supermodel. Not everyone gets into Stanford.
Oregon’s got a better football team. (Even though Stanford beat ’em this season). hehe
Some of the most successful people in life never even went to college, much less a “well known one”.
Besides…..
from my experience…..
Most people who make a lot of money (whether by getting a good job from a “prestigeous college or not), have been some of the worst you can ever meet in life. They tend to be shallow, self centered, and even with all they have and boast about, often arent happy (inside).
So, if its money you are after in the long run……. dont follow that lie.
Personally, I wouldnt want the title of being a snob.
To add on what others have said, going to the best of colleges does not ensure you a great life… just helps you on the opportunities to get money, and money does help to live more comfortable but has little to do with happiness if you happen to be an inteligent/not so shallow person… there are several other things i can think off that do define an outstanding life… and education, while important, is really not at the top of the list (at least mine)
