I feel like I’m pushing myself too much.
Usually I get about 3-4 hours of sleep a night (with the lights on). For the past week, it’s been no sleep, and little 30 minute naps during the day.
I still go to the gym, I still do my homework, I still clean obsessively. My ocd is taking over me now too, it’s getting worse with the lack of sleep.
I get dizzy and I’ve always got a headache.
I’m pushing myself and I can’t stop.

Bennadryl?
Do you go to the Dr. for meds? If so let them no your having insomia issues and you would appreciate a sleeping aid for a short while to get your sleeping back on track. Unfortunately asking for more may make them decline your request but it should give you a respite for a couple of weeks.
If they give you Ambien, which I believe now comes in generic form they are strong enough to half giving you double the supply. Even if you chose to use them sparingly maybe it can give you the breaks you need to feel a little more normal. I took Trazadone for a short time but it stuffed up my sinuses so bad THAT was keeping me awake.
Try Fortunear’s suggestion of benedryl first, personally it does nothing for me but does for most people.
Ambien does nothing (at least for me).
I took 30 during my suicide attempt.
They didnt even need to pump my stomach, and I must not have fell as asleep as I was face down in seawater and remember swallowing it.
Doc now gives me Clonazepam for sleep/anxiety issues.
Sometimes it works, but if Im extra upset for some reason, ir does little.
I can’t sleep without an aid, I have found that out.
I hd sleep issues even before my wife left me, but the tress of that event pushed me into s new level of insomnia.
Maybe it’s worthless, but melatonin (yes, something natural, go figure), gets me sleeping most of the times, even if some prescribed won’t. if normal sleeping meds don’t work you might try that
Wifeisgone: go easy on that clonazepam, it is supposed to affect the heart rate, i too found out it does little for me (had to take 3+ in order to get a couple of hours of sleeping)
Thanks for the advise, I really do appreciate it.
Unfortunately I’ve become immune to pretty much any kind of sleeping medication.
Yes, I did try melatonin about two years ago when my sleep problems started, when my ptsd started causing nightmares. It worked for a while, then stopped.
I take xanax and prozac, but that doesn’t do much.
