This is sometimes called “the double cancel out”. You are alive, but are shut down so deeply that you seem dead and do not seem to exist at all.
The war you fight against yourself is exhausting. You attack and you are attacked at once. Of course you stare blankly. Of course you have no strength left. How could you, if you actually thought you had to purge something from yourself. Something bad, or inadequate or tragic or however else you describe it.
This is the human condition. It ranges from suspicious to vicious. From the inside you are so committed to it, often unconsciously, that when help is offered, you can not understand it, but are often hostile to it. It is indeed hell on earth.
The question is really what, if anything, you can do to turn the course of your great ship from the iceberg, before it is too late.
First of all, it is never too late. Second, you can change to a positive direction now. Remember that the slightest change in course is the difference in landing in Boston or Barbados.
What, in your view, is the highest good? Love, Truth, God? All of the above? You can focus your attention on an abstract quality of infinite value for at least 30 to 45 seconds in a day. More than that is really too rigorous. It will prepare you for the steps that follow. Good luck.

Don’t be sad
