Why is suicide “intelligent” if life is a struggle? Every life is different but among the things they have in common, all lives involve struggles of some sort. If you’re suicidal, it’s more of a matter of how *heavy* a burden that “struggle” is, versus the capacity you can manage. Suicide is not necessarily a better or worse escape option than all others in and of itself. I think the “intelligent” thing is to think of every possible way to get out of situations that make life so unbearable you’d rather be dead… and weigh them carefully before deciding (based on your own circumstances), with as unbiased a mind (toward overly-negative OR overly-positive delusions) as you can get it to be. It’s not easy, but that’s what I’ve been striving to do.

Suicide did not happen and will not happen until a person is legally dead.
You writing this post shows me that you did not successfully commit mental suicide.
Suicide is neither smart nor dumb. It’s an option. It should not be dramatized or glamorized.
