I’ve always been the kind of person who remembers things; every little word, every little insult thrown at me. I remember the first time I told you about my self-harm. I showed you my wrists. First thing you said? “Good luck finding a job with those; they’ll all see you’re a crazy *****”.
So I began cutting my legs.
You caught me cutting a few months later. Clearly upset that you weren’t able to control the situation, you spit your venom at me once again.
“Give me the knife,” you said, “I’ll cut you deep, stop being such a *****”.
That’s why today, when you looked at my scars and asked me what I was doing to myself, I replied, “I’m cutting deep, like you said”.

Try not to let this person win a ‘pissing contest’ by destroying you. If somebody chooses to make snide remarks instead of supporting you, be done with them and move on. You deserve much more than what you’re getting… and much more than what you’re doing to yourself. There will always be people who doubt, insult, or try to make your life miserable. Such is life. Prove them wrong by accomplishing great things.
distant.road is right. Who is this person anyway?
I also agree with distant.road. Forget about them, all their doing is giving you the wrong. Stand up to that person and show them that you can get a job, or that you will do something and make a difference in something even with those scars.
