Jeesh…So someone here was THAT offended by “brutally honest” that they flagged it and had it deleted….whomever you are…. it wasn’t that serious….if you think “honesty” should be censored because it isn’t nice? then I understand why you ended up on this site with the rest of us in the first place….

happens. Though I didn’t agree to most of what you said in that topic, it wasn’t really offensive to the degree that it should be removed. Just usual ranting.

That’s how things usually go when you tell someone something they don’t want to hear… even if it is true.
This is the natural result of engineering a society to depend upon illusions in order to cope. People freak out when you make them aware of the fact that their illusions are indeed illusory… and then they often resort to “shooting the messenger,” as if the messenger himself created the truth, instead of just delivering it.
insults != honesty
While I disagreed with the post and I wrote a counter-post to it, I don’t believe in censorship. You and I have every right to make posts that others agree or disagree with… and, in turn, others have the right to make posts and comments with divergent opinions. Censorship should be reserved for the most urgent of situations in which one’s own welfare or the greater welfare of the community are at risk.

I’ve seen plenty of people feel insulted by the truth. Just sayin’.

I just logged on…..i don’t get it……if people were THAT insulted by it, then why not just ignore the thread, instead of having it obliterated? Am i too new? There were so many diverse and colourful opinions expressed…….sure got heated at times…..but so what?

But again….suicide site. By our nature do we not posses brutal feelings and desires? And again if you like it do what the rest of the world does for many matters and look away. Nobody made them read….

If only people were logical PERIOD life would be easier. Although i will be the first to admit that i’m not always… …but wish i was. Think its my disorders 😉
Hm, I certainly don’t see a reason why truth couldn’t be just as harmful as lies. Whether if it’s better to tell the truth or to lie obviously depends on the situation.
