Do you see how much I need you right now?
You’re the one that I love and I’m saying goodbye.
Will you let her go?
You lift me up just so I fall.
I wish you were here.
I’m barely hanging on.
I learned to live, half alive.
Just one chance, just one breath; Just in case there’s one left.
No you don’t know what it’s like.
There’s many things I wish I didn’t do.

Is that “ Let Her Go” by Passenger? I can’t stand the fella who sings it, sounds like a creep, but I can jam it out on guitar. Tis a nice little tune to play, pretty simple too.
We had this saying in the service: WAIT OUT.
That basically means “I hear you, but I need to make an informed decision before responding so gimme a sec, would ya?” or “hey, just give me some time, yeah?”
Whoever you’re referring to, I’m sure they’re having this same thought as well. I really can’t see anyone letting go of you, Miss.
So, wait out. Okay? 🙂
Jar of Hearts . . . I like that song by Christina Perry. A Thousand Years by her is just as good. They feel kind of one sided though. Like the person who is trying most is getting torn apart. And I suppose that is true with a lot of us.
When I heard Say Something by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera, I swear it brought tears to my eyes. Especially when they hit that note where it goes “Say something I’m giving up on you. I’m sorry that I couldn’t get to you.” I recognize the second line from your post is from this song also.
It’s good that you find something in songs. It means you’re not alone and there are others who can relate, just as well as you.
But like Mysterious Stranger said, wait it out.
