For the last few years I didn’t see the point in filing taxes  if I was just going to kill myself. I doubt the IRS sends agents into the afterlife to collect on delinquent accounts.
Since I never did get around to killing myself, I went ahead and dropped off three years worth of income tax info with a local CPA today. Â I’ll get caught up with the govt. Â and hopefully get a large enough refund to take an Ayuhuasca adventure I’ve been planning for awhile now. Ayahuasca is a powerful hallucinogenic compound which originated in the Amazon rainforest. I can’t think of any better way to enjoy an income tax refund than to travel to Peru and ingest a mind altering hallucinogenic sludge with witch doctors in the rainforest.
Thanks Uncle Sam.

You could hang out with a Bwiti shaman and take some iboga, too. There are many entheogens.
Yeah, I’ve got my heart set on Ayahuasca. I know people who have tried it and I’ve read a lot of testimonials on erowid.com. I’ve tried LSD a few times and thought it was over rated – I’ve tripped harder on ‘shrooms. I’ve never been to the Amazon, either.
You only live once, right? Might as well go for it.
We all have our dreams. I want to go to Nepal and try some mad-honey, personally, but Ayahuasca sounds like fun too.
That’s cool. I was thinking about this the other day: If I’ve accepted my own mortality, then why not take chances and do stuff that most 9-5 automatons will never even consider? There’s nothing holding me back (except for a lack of funds). I wanna have adventures, and I will dammit. 🙂
@lorax and slinky
Do you know anyone who has taken iboga ? Ayahuasca (even though I’ve never tried it), I know a fair amount about, as I lived in the Peruvian Amazon for a while.
I had never heard of iboga before today, I’ll check it out later. Are you fluent in Spanish?
yeah i am fluent in spanish
if you want to ask anything about the peruvian amazon or peru in general, bombs away (full credit to your post title)
hehe. Thanks. Wanna go to the rainforest and trip with Shamans? Do you have any plans for this upcoming summer?
I’m barely fluent in Spanish, I communicate at the level of a 5 year old.
I’ve taken 5-meo-DMT via some nasty seeds before. I don’t recommend that one, but I’m told the hallucinations are a lot like normal ayahuasca, and they were crazy.
Iboga apparently resets opiate addictions and helps to break addictive cycles in general (supposedly). It’s like African ayahuasca.
@lorax
actually, ayahuasca is also used for drug addiction treatment
do you know anyone who has taken iboga
I dunno anyone personally who’s taken iboga – I’m planning on getting some at some point in the future, though. It sounds like a wild ride.
@ slinky
you’ll be communicating like a three year old when you’re tripping on ayahuasca 🙂
@lorax
i’ve always been intrigued by ibogq sounds fascinating
If I bother talking at all when I’m tripping, I say stuff like “the answer is in the wind, man”. Or “we’re so tiny compared to the rest of the cosmos. What’s if we’re all just individual grains of sand on an endless beach”? My philosophical ponderings seem profound when I’m on drugs, but when I listen to them later I just sound like some guy on drugs.
if you didn’t sound like some guy on drugs, then you wouldn’t be tripping 🙂
hahaha. What I meant was, something will come out of my mouth that seems really deep when I say it. When I hear it later (when I’m not tripping), it sounds like gibberish.
So yeah, I guess the drugs do work. 🙂
You ever try acid or mushrooms? I like hallucinogens best, that’s why I want to try Ayahuasca. It’s supposed to make LSD seem like candy.
I’ve never tried hallucinogens, because i used to meditate and i was afraid of doing damage to my brain. But i’ve since stopped meditating, and mushrooms, peyote, iboga, and salvia seem really interesting to me.
Are you familiar with the word “psychonaut”? “Psyche” means mind, “naut” means sailor or navigator. A psychonaut is an explorer of the mind.
Recreational drug use is fine, but I prefer hallucinogens because I like taking a journey inwards. I think of it as similar to meditation, except you get results much faster. Hallucinogens are a more immediate pathway to, uh…”finding that place”. Or maybe I just like trippin. Who knows.
Stay….away….from…salvia. Yech. That stuff is just awful. 😛
@lorax
Thanks for the heads up on salvia. Could you please elaborate a little more, as to how it’s awful ?
Thanks.
Hi, sorry, I stumbled upon your webpage while, ehem ehem, googling “suicide partners Peru”. I’m Peruvian, and well, ayahuasca is mostly used now in healing therapies, or addiction therapies. It’s important that you do it with someone who knows how to do it (they call it “A Guide), otherwise there’ll be no tripping, and there’ll be a nasty hospital visit. Some of the side effects (if you don’t do it properly) will be nausea, uncontrollable diarrhea, etc. Good luck with your tripping/suicide project, I’ve been trying to get my hands on Klonopin or Clonazepam to Overdose, but I can’t buy then without a prescription. What are your plans after Ayahuasca???
kind regards from Peru!
