Sometimes being numb is a defense mechanism… It shields you when things could actually be intense. Take some time to reflect on what’s oin. Work on your breathing. The more ways you can relax, the easier it may be to cope when things are stressful.
I stopped taking my meds while I was still in service, only because my entire leg was becoming nullified. I couldn’t tell if I was hurting it or not. Once the medication did wear off, I screamed like a beeotch at the sheer pain. It was “back on crutches” for me. What I felt was pain; how I felt was stupid.
