“Ever since I fell down that rabbit hole, I’ve been told what I must do, and who I must be.
I’ve been stretched.
Scratched.
And stuffed in a teapot.
I’ve been accused of being Alice.
And of not being Alice.
But this is my dream, I’ll decide where it goes from here.”
-Alice from Alice in Wonderland
I feel like this completely applies to our society, as if every line represents a real life thing.
Like, in the first line, I think that could probably, signify our birth. Being thrown into a society, where there are people who are going to tell you, what you HAVE to do, and who you HAVE to be. Setting almost impossible to reach standards, that if you don’t meet, you’ll be judged and tormented.
The second line i think, could represent the change that we all have to go though in our lives. Any type of change, it could be, from adolescent to adult, or even being changed from a boy to a girl.
The third line, I think could represent, how most of us, get hurt in some way or another. Whether it be, emotionally or physically hurt, and plus whether it be a quick, one time pain, or if it is more frequent than that.
The last line is probably my favorite, because what Alice says is very true. You are in control of you life. You control who’s apart of it and what you end up going with your life. Now, of course you can’t change everything that happens in your life, but a lot of it you can change. You are in control of your own destiny.
“But this is my dream, I’ll decide where it goes from here.

Do take care–did Lewis Carroll have Cheshire cats, where only the grin was left, or something? And the Red Queen…whose words mean whatever she thinks they should mean. Best to you.
