Maybe I don’t need it anyway. I figured I might be feeling an emotion, but maybe I’m confusing muscle tension from stimulant use with stress.
Still, I read about some people on the net saying they are on 250mg, so maybe it’s still okay.
Ask the doctor who prescribed it for you. This medication can be dangerous under some circumstances. Take the amount the doctor says. Tell the doctor if you also take other meds.
I am also on 200mg sertraline. I thought 200 was the highest recommended dose. I’ve been on it almost ten years. I don’t think they work anymore…how long have been taking them?
I took 100 mg per day for 2 years, about 25 years ago. You can google “Zoloft label” to find what the FDA says about the med. The real problems are withdrawal and other meds you might be taking at the same time–doctors usually “ease” you off it if you’re going to stop taking it. There are a few drugs than can interact with sertraline, so tell a doctor or pharmacist about all the medicines you take. The web isn’t a good place for advice on that.
