I looked further into the helium method after talking to AllButGone, I feel it’s not for me because if you get it wrong then brain damage can occur, you have to be sure you know exactly what you’re doing with it.
Exactly my fear. Considering all my failed suicide attempts when I read in the Wikipedia that brain damage can occur if you don’t do it right or are interrupted I was a bit worried.

I’ve seen it with my own eyes, someone who used the helium method. She went out like a candle, lost consciousness within 15 seconds, death occured within ten minutes, without pain. You have to let the valve open, but not complete, the bag has to fill slowly, and must not be very tight around your neck so the helium can flow out of it. it’s a good method, and I will go that way myself.
