…or maybe, technically, it was several days ago when she chose to stop the dialysis that was allowing her to live. A painful way to go but she prided herself on being a tough old broad. We had a love/hate relationship.
My deepest condolence:( i cant imagine the feeling to lose someone you profoundly love in such way.
i dont know what to say to cheer you up, but i hope everything is going to be okay with you
My condolences. I remember someone close to me had her grandmother on constant dialysis and it really takes a toll on them. Hopefully your mom found peace now.
Whispers, this is such a tragedy and I hope you’re weathering it. But from what it sounds like, from your mom’s point of view it’s a victory. Can’t argue with that.
It was not suicide. She chose to let her body take its natural course. Many of us don’t want to be hooked up to machines, tubes, life support.
forgive her, I’m sure she’d already been thru enough hell.
I send you my condolences <3
@jaide seeing as she discussed her plan and left notes yes it certainly was a suicide. Doesnt matter if you use a gun or a rope or stop medical care…if you do so intentionally knowing and hoping your death will occur than its suicide. And the fact you felt you needed to argue that point with me right after she dies shows you seriously lack compassion and maybe shouldnt be commenting here.
My reading of jaide’s comment is that it actually comes out of a place of compassion and empathy – merely trying to offer an alternative interpretation of the stated events. Although I see how they could be misinterpreted. I think, in time, you’ll re-read this comment and see it differently, that its intent was, in fact, compassion and kindness – not to be assertive and argumentative.
I see this objectively from both perspectives and I think both interpretations can be correct simultaneously.
My sincere condolences on your loss and I hope you can find peace and serenity to help you through this difficult time.
