PROS – 1. No more mental illness, 2. No more constant worrying, 3. No painful natural death in the future, 5. No more addictions, 6, no more rejection because I can’t function as a normal adult, 7. No more of this world weighing me down with consequences and obligations, 8, I’ll have a choice!, 9. I’ll never suffer again, 10. I will have no wants, impossible or unhealthy ones.

I just to think like that but i learned that life offers more than pain.
I been this way all my life. I’m to the point were I don’t care what else life offers. I definatly respect your opinion but I personally just wanna opt out. Where all gonna die anyway, some of us just want to speed up the process.
there are no cons…..
Exactly!
but the only problem is that peaceful methods are quite hard to set up.. exit bag method can fail too if you are not careful with the set up..
Very true. That’s why I gotta be clever and study up on it, learn what I’m doing, and make sure to position myself as to I don’t slip out of one once I pass out. The problem is getting the thing. There will be a lot of duct tape involved. I’d like to duct tape myself to the cylinder and make sure duct tape the exit bag and around the hose even if I’m 100 sure it’s all secure.
I just fucking hate see people suffer. It bleeds my heart listing to these words of despair
Thank you. It does me too personally. I’d rather life didn’t evolve on this earth because of all the suffering that came from it
I have gone through immense pain myself. So my brain also highlights only the pros like you mentioned here. However, I just wanted to share that some five years ago I would have never imagined my life to be this miserable beyond my imagination. So, I keep this at the back of my mind somewhere that someday I might be okay beyond my imagination. I myself don’t have any hope left but maybe we should keep searching, if not keep going.
It’s a question no one can really answer. No one know what happen after death and when you dont know where you are going how can you talk about pros and cons?
Since I don’t see any cons, I left it blank to make a point
Why you don’t see any cons? Probably because you have a rigid view of what happens after death which I guess is death is the end. But in my opinion death is like infinitely mysterious …. So we can’t talk about pros and cons. For example if christianity or Islam is right then there are only cons coz u will spend eternity in hell.(i am Atheist but I think in the end anything can come out to be true)
@liam89 i was a muslim before but islam didn’t make sense to me. I had some questions that destroyed my faith. I am a agnostic now.
@unluckymale13 yeah I read that before and I appreciate you for coming out of it, I just gave an example I do not believe in any religion too.
CONS-
1.Missing out all this in a post by Darwin http://suicideproject.org/2015/08/100-reasons-to-why-you-shouldn-t-commit-suicide/
2. Death doesn’t offer peace. It isn’t bliss or stillness or calm. Only the world offers that.
Death is a full stop, it is hitting breaks in the middle of the highway; speed 250km/h; it is skidding to a stop while crashing into cars all around you.
3. There will be no chance to fix this. You would have ended it by ending yourself.
4. You miss the the chance at peace by shutting your brain.
5. The idea of death seems like a solution to only those who live.
6. Where will all of you go? This soul, thus mind lost to the world (and if thinking about all those people and everyone has made you tired then just think about one person, anyone from this website. If you go where do they stand? We lose you. we don’t want that).
7. You are a resource a mastermind for yourself. If you’re in a pit in the forest with no one around to help you, who picks you up? You. And why? Beacuse you can. (I stand as testament to that). Dying won’t give you that chance.
8. Rejection, pain and suffering tells you that there is still the other side of the coin. If bad exists there is good too. This game isn’t rigged, there are two sides to this coin. It will take the goddamed life out from you (ironical, isn’t it?) but you have to flip it.
Peaceful suicide is an oxymoron my friend. I wish you love. Please don’t do that. Don’t make us say R.I.P to another soul who could have lived. It just makes it harder to go through the posts on here. There are a million ways you can kill yourself, there is just one to stay alive.
Ok, I just read what you and unlucky said about the exit bag. Forget it. I’ve been there myself already and I’ll tell you its a waste of time. I got the book, bought all the materials, built one, built a second one, and I’m still here. The exit bag did not work and only served to trick me into thinking I had a “peaceful” way out. There’s nothing peaceful about choking to death and if you try to make a bag, you’ll find out. I don’t know if it’s the specific gas (the helium exit bag is the one I’m referring to) or if its just a flawed setup, but I’m not the only one I’ve seen whose bag failed them. Also, I just reread some of your post and I got to the duct tape part. I’m not sure if you meant exclusively duct tape as a securing method or if that’s after you’ve already secured the hose, but I’ll tell you right now that that’s not a good idea. If you are using a helium canister, regulator or not, the pressure from the compressed gas will blow that duct tape right off. Definitely interrupting your suicide, but also possibly combusting. I wasn’t using duct tape or anything, but it still happened to me while I was testing PSIs. Let’s just say it’s pretty much like how in army movies there’ll be that grenade that goes off beside the main character and when the main character stands up he can’t hear or really see anything and he’s really disoriented, but then everything starts clearing up back to normal. Honestly, you’d probably have better success if you just put the bag over your head then knocked yourself out.
