I’m going to bet that makes no sense at all.
Spiral like a cyclone,
Getting sadder and sadder,
Like I’m upside down,
Trying to climb a ladder,
And I can’t get a grip,
And I don’t have a hold,
So it’s just harder I try,
Then the lower I go.
Now I’m trying to dig myself,
Up and out of this hole,
But I bury myself deeper,
With every shovel full,
Of this dirt that’s my life,
I can’t pretend I’m alright,
Cuz every time I get on track,
And I start to see the the light,
Then the train fucking hits me,
And turns the day back to night.
I’d write something pessimistic, but you probably wouldn’t read it.

My vote is for the poetry/lyrics. Can’t even really say why. I’m just interested.
My vote is for the poetry also ^_^
Dammit, figures… I’ll wait till 12:00 est.
Well, ultimately, what you post is your decision. You don’t have to if you don’t want to.
It’s all good.
You no like poems? O.o
You wouldn’t happen to have NEXT week’s Powerball numbers, would you?
I like poetry too, but am leaning toward an update on your life, accompanied by a picture of a swan.
I have some pretty reliable sources. I can usually get the winning numbers by the day after the drawing.
Also, indecisive much?
Sometimes. Sort-of. I don’t know.
If the peanut butter and jelly sandwich recipe is in German, I vote for that.
If not, 100% vote goes for the original poetry.
I misread it as receipt, not recipe. Thought that seemed odd.
Can I use Google Translate?
That would totally be cheating, but then again, how would I know unless you told me ahead of time….
oops.
I just looked up the weather forecast for South Pole, Antarctica. The current temperature is -74 degrees Fahrenheit, although t’s supposed to warm up to -57 in a few hours.
No sunshine for another few months, it’s dark 24 hours a day there this time of year.
Ulaanbator, Mongolia is another fun place for monitoring winter temps.
Fascinating…
So you’re saying it’s almost as cold as Alan’s poem is going to be? (Don’t worry I’m cringing too, but I couldn’t stop myself) ^_^
So is Tucsan Arizona.
So, wait, can we combine these?
Like, say I wanted pessimistic message about the tides and turns of your life, but in song lyric form, and posted next to a picture of a swan who lives in Laramie WY… would that be ok?
Can we just have all of them? O.o
ALL OF THEM!!
Yes!
I will remove one article of clothing for each one you post.
(*not sure if that just made things better or worse*)
Well I guess it would depend on the temperature of your surroundings…. I assume it would be very unpleasant if it was cold…. at least for you.
Thank goodness I’m not at the South Pole, Antarctica, or Ulaanbator, Mongolia.
Yay that’s very good then ^_^
On a weird side-note: I’ve always wondered if nudists hate winter…. Do they still go without clothing and just try to act like they don’t care? That would be impressive.
I would hope they at least wrap up in something; there are some places you *definitely* don’t want frostbite.
“Well, if anybody gives 2/3 of half a shit if I post or not…. ball is in your court.”
(*inner math nerd breaks free*)
Let’s see…
2/3 of half a shit….
equals one third of a shit.
I think.
It’s been awhile since I let my inner math nerd roam free.
When I let him out, he spends the first 20 minutes just blinking at the bright sunlight.
Two thirds of one half: pretty sure it’s two sixths.
Ach! Danke sehr.
Ausgezeichnet.
🙂
Alan I love how you are mashing up discs. It makes it sound really sexy. Even for PBJ.
If my German to English translation is correct, you’re living in a van down by the river?
Er lebt in einem Packwagen neben dem Fluß.
Packwagen? What a great word. It’s a vehicle used to accomodate a pack.
I’ve just got a Folk’s Wagon, so I can only take day trips down to the river.
The word for river seems similar to fluid or flow. I learn so much here, thanks to the resident pedantic types. Muchos gracias, yo.
