Does anyone else have that one friend who tries to act like an emo?
I do and it’s driving me absolutely crazy!!! She would always take these tests on the Internet about having depression and she would always say that the tests were positive.
When we ask her why she thinks she has ” sever depression ” she would always go
“Oh! I haven’t been eating well this week!”
That does not mean depression!!! It really annoys me because it’s like she is mocking the people who have depression. She thinks it’s “cool” to have it when really it’s a serious matter which should not be joked about .
Depression is more than just feeling sad and I should know from experience.
I just hope she finally realises that depression is a serious matter soon…?
Well now that I finished my rant ? Thanks for reading! Have a good day.

Seems to be a bit of a trend on the internet with some middle-class girls. They whine about being sad/depressed/suicidal and listen to music by Lana Del Rey one minute, then take about new makeup/changing their hair color, the next.
Try not to take it too seriously or personally. Every generation had it’s own fad and subcultures, so I think this is just the latest. They will eventually grow out of it-I think it’s just a way for them to bond with their fellow girlfriends-to be a part of the ‘in’ group.

Thanks for the advice . I’ll try not take it personally although I really wish she could not take it as a joke as I’ve been through a stage of depression but no one really knows that. Thanks again ..
