To whom do i belong
When the first snow falls
When the winter drags on
And the nights have grown long
I’ll sit in silence
Waiting for your song
Tell me you need me
Ive been here so long
With arms outstretched
And eyes closed tightly
I’ll take my last step
And pray that you’ll catch me
I do not fear falling
Or even my death
I fear being lonely
As i take my last breath
So i ask again
To whom do i belong
When summer rain falls
When the heat drags on
and the days have grown long
I’ll sit in silence
Waiting for your song
Tell me I’m yours
Ive been here so long

I’ve never felt such sadness from a poem..
Funny you should say that. I haven’t felt this low in a while.
This is a very different tone than the other poems you’ve posted, and it scares me. Your earliest ones were stinging. Some were almost menacing. Then there was a period when they were full of fight and loss. But this one, it just feels so sad and desolate.
Im scared, captain
