but isn’t that the purpose of drug therapy these days?
get the patient in, treat the patient like a petri dish and chem beaker, exert effort to keep the patient alive so the experimentation can be prolonged as long as possible, and of course, for the steady flow of crisp dollar bills
adverse effects?, oh well, we got responsibility wavers and more chems and drugs for that! !$CHACHING$!!!
what could possibly be wrong with prescribing 5 or more drugs to people these days,
hell what’s wrong with it even if some of them “technically aren’t supposed to mix”, minor technicality detail right?
or what is even wrong with prescribing people a shit ton of drugs for something they don’t have
nothing like making you clinical depressed and suicidal from taking anti-depressants despite not being so before because it was prescribed for anxiety
or you know, treating people for bipolar despite being borderline, or you know, making them bipolar by cramming every known chemical and compound in their body, causing mania and depression = insta diagnosis, thank you very much DSM
“ok ok so you got mood swings, hypersomnia and insomnia and irregular sleep patterns, sweats, jitters, ticks, IBS, memory loss, increased blood pressure, etc etc etc from all the meds i’ve been handing you like skittles the past couple of decades, so what, i got drugs for that too! don’t you worry, more skittles on the way!”
uhm doc, I think i’m gonna try out another physician, it’s definitely not you, it’s me, but i think we need a break,
“awww”,
want a break up drug doc? i’m sure you have one on the shelf somewhere, just don’t take the one you prescribed earlier that caused organ failure, rashes, heartburn, brain aneurysm, bleeding from the orifices including but not limited to nose, mouth ears, eyes and anus, and “flying off penis syndrome”
one day they will make a calcium tablet that will break your bones 5min after ingesting…
I think I might have been better off without antipsychotics, but who knows? All I know is they’re lying through their teeth about these things, and most journalists, celebrities, etc. are too f***ing dim to notice it.
I’m so f***ing tired of hearing about how Carrie Fisher raised “awareness” about mental health, when my guess is the drugs killed her. She died way too young. As do most people on pills. They brainwashed her to the extent that her urn was a Prozac pill! It’s really depressing, because she was a legend, and seemed like an awesome human being.
Not personally no but I did go off my GI med as I didn’t feel it was any longer helping and I saw 2 different GIs about going off it or changing it and both declined… so I decided to go off it myself. Why pay for some med I don’t feel a benefit from. Now I feel a little better, not 100%, but not so drastically different or worse than I was on it.
I think some drs and treatments can do more harm than good…. medicine and how many drs go about it sure has changed and not necessarily for the better.
