I try to be understanding of the perspectives of others. I really do. But let me say this: anybody who thinks that life is inherently worth living just because “it’s the only life you’ll ever have” is a fucking moron.

agreed. i never understood that either. that it is your only life is not, in itself, justification for living … i think there are some things that can justify living, but these have to do with the *content* of life, and not the fact of living itself. taken by itself, that fact is pretty damn meaningless in my opinion (for example, imagine a person in a permanent vegetative state … they are “alive” and this is their only “life,” if it can be even called that, but is their life worth living? i guess it depends on perspective, but i think it’s not…).
It’s not a valid reason to value a life no, just because there is one of a thing doesn’t make it valuable or worth having…. However I would much prefer people attempt their life for as long as they can…. There’s really no reason to live honestly, but also no reason to shorten the living…. It’s just meh, no point valuing it…. The only reason I could give to people to continue living is because I want them to -_- which is very selfish of me, but oh well I’m a selfish person…. I would prefer you stick around Kitty Fish…. Who else can I call Kitty Fish? O.o
It depends on the cards you get I think really. For me I think life is total nonsense now. Absolute nonsense. It was good for a while when I was “normal” but I’m here very much against my will now..

You’re spot-on, nightshade.
I think this perspective, and the need to talk suicidals out of it comes from a fear of ones own death and mortality.

Do you have another life at your disposal?
I think that’s where the saying is going.
