I have a sister too that didn’t believe me until i tried to commit suicide, and even after that she didn’t understand and even made fun of me. People that haven’t been through tougher times will never understand the ones that have. But you really can’t be mad at her, you can calmly explain to her if you want but it’s her choice to make whether or not she wants to understand you. But i think that it’s simply easier to just avoid the topic. That’s what i do, me and my sister never talk about the things i’m going through, we just find other things to talk about. It is your choice to make but i’ll tell you that, it’s always better to avoid talking about problems to people that don’t understand. You just need to find someone that understands and talk to them, it might be someone on social media or maybe one of your friends.
I agree with the other comment. Its shitty that your own sister is making you feel this way but ive also experienced that people who haven’t any experience with depression or a type of self hate just simply don’t get until it ever happens to them. I had a boyfriend who simply did not understand that I’m not just unmotivated and moody and in a negative mindset that I actually am depressed and its more out of my control than he thought. I guess until they have their own encounter with depression they’ll continue to not understand it like we do.

Good luck!
