He adopted me. I was going grocery shopping and when I opened my door to step outside, he raced into the apartment and now refuses to leave. I guess I’ve got room for one more.

Animals certainly do some things better than humans. Needs a place to stay probably, just walks into a house and “Hey maybe we are best friends now”. Lovely little creatures. So simple, we complicate stuff way too much. They can just come in and form solid friendships on the spot while many of us live completely alone among millions and millions of people around us without anybody to understand, listen or form meaningful relationships with.
To be fair, I was feeding him for several days outside – nobody in the complex knows where he came from, but he’s too cute to ignore. And he’s definitely friendly beyond belief.

What a cutie! Feed a stray once, and it’s yours forever. Did you have him scanned for a microchip? It’s possible he might be lost.
Not yet, but he’s not spayed, so I’d bet against him being chipped. Those things usually go hand-in-hand. I’m planning on taking him to the vet in a week or two (need to get bills covered first).
It’s amazing how they manipulate us. He looks like he’s been sleeping there forever, and he’s perfectly content.
