I have a general hatred and disdain for the human species. First, we ruin the planet. And second, most people are evil, shitty, selfish, manipulative, opportunistic, liars, users, etc. Sure, there are a small number of good people, but overall, most humans are shitty. And somehow during my whole life I seem to encounter the bad ones and very few good ones. Of course my viewpoint is biased toward my own life experiences (but isn’t that the case for all of our viewpoints/thoughts/beliefs)?
The ones who’ve had nice childhoods, good family, little to no adversity, pain, or poverty and hunger, etc. will always invariably say “but life is great, you just have to change your mindset!”

the problem is cost vs benefits. I think that most people want to be kind, and would prioritize it more if they actually knew the first thing about trauma and suffering. Maybe that isn’t better; idiots instead of indifferently malicious? The result is the same, and that result is the problem.
This is an unfortunate side effect of our species attempting to grow kinder AND more effective; those two things clash, you have to choose one to put first, and the people and entities with the money put effectiveness over kindness, and profit over both.

I wish that were true.
-The guy that stole a ton of my items during my move? He certainly doesn’t care to be kind.
-The countless guys who lied and manipulated just to get sex? Don’t think they cared to be kind to me.
-The building manager who terrorized all the female tenants? Don’t think he cared to be kind.
-When I told who I thought were my friends that I got hit by a car, they told me to “go to the pharmacy to get some Tylenol and ice packs.” And never heard from them again. Don’t think they were trying to be kind.
There’s countless other examples of these shitty people in my life, and in the world in general. I WISH most people actually WANT to be good and kind, but they’re not and they don’t care to be. If people actually WANTED to be kind, this world wouldn’t be the way it is.
When you’re talking about businesses putting effectiveness over kindness, yes, that is a given. But when it comes to people, people put selfish desires and screwing others over above kindness. Do they want to be kind? Not really. There’s plenty of characters who really don’t care to be kind or good, even if there’s nothing for them to gain or lose or be less “effective”.
Anyhow, I’m not trying to poo on your comment. It’s just depressing because the reality is that most people aren’t good, kind or caring. This world wouldn’t be the way it is if it were the case.
Fair criticism, I have wondered if I am projecting good will onto a species lacking it. I wanted to help people, I wanted to have a job where that’s all I did. The economic niche where that is possible is shrinking. So, when I am unpleasant, which is often, it is because I have been given no better recourse.
It runs much deeper than that, the reason I came on here many years ago is because I woke up, I don’t like saying that because it sounds political lol, I woke up before it was popular! lol. Anyways there are all kinds of names, stories, that people have invented to make us special the “human being”. we are predators just like every other creature on this planet, our job is to hunt, kill, and survive off anything we can. Now with that being said we are special we can invent a better mouse trap to do this, we are superior over the other’s. But just the same we are predators, we can imagine and dream up stuff, we know the difference between right and wrong, however there is no right and wrong, but that is what helps us to keep in check. Long story! But I wanted to kill myself because I didn’t like the truth, but finally learned to accept it, it is what it is. So where do I go from here? No choice live and do my best to get along with others, try to be a good predator lol. I do have the capability to do that. I feel sorry for everyone including myself. The truth is nothing nice. We could write forever about this subject but the bottom line is the truth, we are predators.
