I like so many others have questioned our place in this strange place. I grew up and have lived all over the world witnessing first hand suffering of the living on all levels. There is kindness in all of us at some point ( most likely when we are young) but we are raised in a world so lost and angry it breeds hate. Hate towards others because of race, sex religion and ourselves when enough time brews it or injects it into ourselves. I have always punished myself rather than others… I believe that our sickness only makes us the strong ones . MONEY and those with too much of it are what create this problem!?

Heh, money and what is wrong with the modern economy…. I could write pages. Distilled down; 90% of the productivity increase over the last 50 years went to less than 1% of people. Ordinary people worked their butts off, survived recessions and layoffs, and didn’t make anything as an outcome.
There are kind people, they’re just on average used up and tired. I count myself among that number. I was bothered growing up, at the disconnect between the cruelty of this planet and how we present it to young people. The result is we have a coddled population now, a vast amount of people who have no idea what trauma is.
I think it goes back to denial, as a strategy still the go to way to deal with awful things as a species. We want to pretend the world is as we present it to children. We want it to be, and that complacency allows for tremendous suffering
