I think humans are the same as they’ve always been. Some good, some bad, some awful.
We’re probably seeing and feeling more of the awful side these days because of 24 hour news, videos and social media. But I’m sure this is just a slice of how it has always been. And that’s the most depressing thought of all: nothing ever changes.
fewer people are putting up a front of caring, but we can’t exactly prove that they cared in the first place.
then you have people who have cared who are burnt out, unable to express it anymore. Not getting any wider than my experience there. Often the opportunity to care comes up, and I’ve got nothing to give. I know I should, but the pain built up from years of caring is too much.
” the pain built up from years of caring is too much.”
That’s very real, unfortunately. I used to volunteer with different groups that helped others in need and I saw that many people really care. But so many of the volunteers got burnt out, just like me.
What sucks is continuing to live in this hell of being burnt out, still feeling the pain but like you said being unable to express it anymore. In a nutshell that’s why I want my life to end now. I’m useless but still forced to watch everything that’s wrong in the world.
Oh most certainly. That’s a true fact. That’s just hoe the world is. I’m also more convinced that there’s more people who have no empathy or care others than people who do care. The world we live in sucks. Had I had the choice to be apart of it seeing how terrible things are, I wouldn’t bother wanting to exist.
