My ex c**t girlfriend hit me with a domestic violence when I just trying to help her find a place so she didn’t have to sleep outside homeless and pregnant. Now I’m F***ED. I have a prior facing a F4. I got pre-trial. I can’t afford a attorney and got a public. Well anyways, what would you do? Fight it and it probably get convicted, or take a s**t plea deal of no prison time but you got a F4 you can’t expunge. Anyways, its 16 months in prison and 5 grand fine as the max. 6 months minimum because she’s PREGNANT. Word of advice, If your girl is a cop caller, for the smallest s*** dump her. Yes, these false allegations. I don’t want to harm somebody I was trying to help. Selfish B****. Worse yet, It was for personal gain because a shelter was full and she wasn’t allowed to live with me. Wasn’t on the lease. What would you do, plea out? or try to take it to trial. The plea deal is no prison time, guilty of a F4. Thank you for reading, if you actually taken the time. Please reply.

That sucks man. I mean did she lie on you about putting ur hands on her or did it happen? I would fight that if she lied on you. Some people get false charges for not even doing anything wrong.
She is lying, she got tiny bruises on her and wants to say I beat her. I already saw my discovery. Plus, there was no time it could of happen because I was driving her into town and was dropping her off at the shelter. After that she called on me, we literally went out eat before she did that. I was never in the wrong. She was mad she couldn’t live with me
*disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, what I say therefor cannot constitute proper legal advice, and can in no way be construed as such (I’m friends with enough lawyers to cover my bases like this)
It depends very much on your existing record, and what you do or want to do for a living. If you have a career that’s on the line, fight it. If you have a clean record, fight it.
If you have a career that won’t be effective, that’s an argument in favor of the plea. If you already have something of equal value on your record, again an argument for taking the plea.
Though the legal system may deal with emotional matters, it is actually quite structured and logical. Plea deals always look good, because the DA doesn’t want to fight the charge, they’ve got several hundred other cases some which they can’t avoid going to trial.
my logic is that one charge and two charges really don’t look that different on a background check, and that’s the most significant way it can effect you. But that first charge….. yeah I’d fight it. This sort of thing might eventually be covered by judicial reform which is long overdue, but I wouldn’t bank on that.
Ow if she made up a total lie just for her personal gain, that sucks ass. But it also might give you a strategy. If she did it out of selfishness (like needing a place to stay) then you can easily appeal to her selfishness and offer her money to call it off. Add up all the money you’d spend on court fees, lawyers and legal bs. Then go to your ex (totally emotionless, this is a business deal) and say Hey here’s $x if you withdraw the charges and have a nice life.
Course this would involve an ass ton of control and discipline on your part. You’d have to bury your pride and put on an Oscar winning act of diplomacy. But it’s probably your only chance. The legal system is bs, don’t even dream of justice there. The weakest link in the case is the person who filed the charges so just pay her off and be done with it. It might seem like a humiliating loss, but the truth is you’re manipulating her through her own greed.
