So people who regularly drink have an INCREASE in cortisol release from their adrenal glands even when they are NOT drinking. How interesting and crazy that is. Pretty big shocker when I saw the video yesterday.

that would explain a thing or two…. about why I can’t seem to enjoy a drink. In the moment, yes, pleasant, but a few hours down the line? DEEP regret, pain, sweat…. yuck. I don’t drink alcohol unless I’m going to be awake for at least another six hours, and have a chance to drink about 1.5 liters of water.
it’s the same with me for food- eating carbs (bread, noodles) or sugar (ice cream, cake etc)- feels good ATM for like 5min, but then you spend the next few hours or days regretting it -_-
btw, they say that alcohol is why a lot of ppl have trouble sleeping
