LMAO So I’ve finally heard of the Stanley cup craze yesterday. $45 for a steel mug, that apparently even 7 year olds want. Which is insane. It’s just called marketing, and ppl fall for it like sheeple.
This post isn’t about the Stanley cup itself- it’s what it represents. It’s how easily manipulated ppl are. I mean, ppl are literally trampling over other ppl to get them, lining up at 4AM at Target.
This post is about how we’re all brainwashed, not just about products but about life- medicine, politics, economics, anything and everything. Everyone thinks they are SO smart and SO informed when nothing could be further from the truth. People are LESS informed and MORE propagandized than ever before. Only Americans don’t know they’ve been propagandized and brainwashed by the elites/corporations via MSM and social media. The ones aware of the propaganda only thinks the OTHER team is being brainwashed, but not by THEIR team, noooo.
It’s depressing and exasperating that everyone thinks THEY know the truth, when in fact they are spouting industry lies that’s been cleverly pushed to them by corporations. And when you try to give facts about the REAL truth, they all refuse to listen, and then just label you a “conspiracy theorist” even though eventually the data comes out later and proves my point- albeit 6mo or 12mo later. But eventually the truth comes out, with data, and studies, but ppl will still refuse to listen. I mean, I’ve long given up trying to open ppl’s eyes- if their eyes are closed, then they do NOT want to see the truth. That is MOST Americans. So that eliminates the majority of ppl I can, or want to, talk to.
Anyone who looks into Edward Bernays (nephew of Sigmund Freud) knows how he was so easily able to manipulate the public into believing whatever he wanted them to believe- which is disturbing. One of which was to sell cigarettes and made it cool, and started a trend of millions of women smoking, whom had never smoked before. All it took was a few commercials and bam! He started a smoking trend that lasted for decades.
Sigh. Humans are sheeple. They are so easily manipulated. And once manipulated, refuse to admit they’ve been hoodwinked. Again, I’m not talking about products- I’m talking about how Americans are hoodwinked to believe and vote against their own best interest, time and time again (ie- cutting social programs, not increasing minimum wage, not forming unions, not striking, etc).

Is that you on top comment of this video?
what do you mean? the words are all mine in the post. the video is copy/pasted from YT.
The funny/weird thing about this whole thing to me is about 18 months ago I was on the hunt for the perfect travel mug, and lo and behold I ended up buying a Stanley mug. It was a specific kind only they make, one with a wider base that doesn’t tip easily. But that’s the appeal…. that specific shape I couldn’t find another mug in
This new craze seems to be about a different shape, one that I’ve seen plenty of cheaper and dare I say better mugs in.
There was a thing on the news about this lady who robbed thousands of dollars of these stupid mugs….. imagine going to prison for a fad

but then I wonder if my recent obsessions will become mainstream someday. Last few days I’ve been hunting for the perfect pocket pry bar, long story. In 18 months is there going to be a pocket pry bar craze?
only if there’s a viral video on social media 😛
