Is never fucking wrong. So I got a bit of a start when It read 1hr30 mins for a journey and not the usual 42mins. I also elected to ignore the fact it said part of the motorway was closed and proceeded with the journey anyway. I would pay for that later on. First 30 mins I sped along fine, if there was a logjam I must have avoided it I thought to myself. All of a sudden I drove into traffic at a standstill. A sign glared ‘ Emergency vehicles only on left lane’. I checked google maps it read 2hrs 45 mins. I tried not to panic. I only had what under normal circumstances was 15mins to drive and it was now 2hrs 45 mins. I also had weed in the car. Time ground to a halt. It was cigarette after cigarette. Moving a metre a time, bumper to bumper, choc a bloc. Another sign ominously glared ‘Garda checkpoint ahead’. Now the day was hot so I was wearing shades and had the car window rolled down. ” Hows it going?” asked the police. I was adamant I would present a calm exterior that would elicit no further snooping. “Im good, you?” I said back to the police. “There’s an accident ahead, stay out of the right hand lane, off you go” the police said. I drove off safely. Google maps now said Ihr 20 mins. Google maps is never wrong.

Sounds miserable. Commuting is awful. Especially when you feel like you’re going no where. Don’t know what I’d do with out maps. I got a terrible sense of direction and can’t remember shit.
