I’ve mentioned this before, but lately random memories pop up in my head at the oddest of times. Playing on the Wii with my friend in elementary. That crummy star wars game where you waggle the controller and some how you’d hit the other player. Embarrassing things I did or said in middle school or highschool. People who I haven’t thought of in years. This one time a girl I thought had a very attractive figure was sitting in front of me in Spanish and we had a nice amicable relationship. I had my foot propped up on those little wire baskets underneath the desks for books and stuff. Doing so allowed me to feel her behind on my shin. I don’t think she minded. I hope not anyways. Probably closest I’ll ever get to that sort of thing. That time I went to Rice for a week during the summer between my Junior and Senior year. I was already posting then, so I went back and looked at some of them. I like to read “People Like Us” from time to time. It’s one of my favorites that I’ve written. That girl in my freshmen year of undergrad that I had a tiny crush on. Can’t even remember her face. That time my friend bought me Mario Galaxy 2 for the Wii but I told him I already had a PS3 so they returned it and got me Force Awakens 2. Should have kept Galaxy that’s a much better game. Dressing up for Halloween in elementary. That dumb little thing the school did where the entire student body would form a line and walk through every classroom so that all the kids can see all the different costumes. Then the class would join when the line moved to another classroom. That Cinemark that I would always go to in Elementary but stopped going to since we had no reason to be in that town anymore since I didn’t go to school there. It had very wide dark short hallways to get into the theater room area. You’d walk to the end of it and hand your ticket over. They would have large posters on the walls for the movies coming up and I’d always get creeped out at the horror movie posters. One poster had hands coming out of a girls eyes or something like that and I don’t think she had a mouth. Mid 2000s movies were weird. That awkward crush I had on the first girl I saw on my first day of middle school. Because you had to like someone at that age. It was a rule. At lunch she sat next to me but I didn’t say anything and just read my percy jackson book or something. She left after 5 minutes. We didn’t talk that much that year and she moved the next. She did offer to give me a “lap dance” if she could copy my homework once. I was very flustered at that idea and said no. To this day I have no idea how a 12 year old knew what a lap dance was. They say that your life flashes before your eyes when you are about to die. When I die I don’t think I can say that I’ll see anything all that interesting.
